Renewable Energy: Now is the time to scale up!

The ACP Secretariat will hold a one-day all ACP conference on November 14, 2011 on renewable energy and climate change. The conference will take place at the ACP House in Brussels, Belgium. The conference aims at fostering the exchange of views, information and best practice on the promotion of renewable energy.

 

It aims at encouraging the emergence of partnerships in the area of renewable energy and making recommendations on seizing investment opportunities and maximising the benefits of renewables to ACP countries. The organization of such a conference is seen as vital to spread valuable knowledge, information and experiences throughout the ACP regions. PANGEA's Secretary General, Meghan Sapp, will take part in the first panel presenting biofuels specific cases in Africa and PANGEA's staff will be present throughout the day at the information point in the main hall of the ACP House. PANGEA's member Sue Canney Davison (Pipal Ltd) will take part in the private sector panel.
